Ian Mikardo retains Outstanding status

Chief SEN Inspector, Lesley Cox, carried out a monitoring inspection of Ian MIkardo High School on November 15 and 16, 2016.

"The school is a happy and well-ordered place to learn," she said.

She concluded that safeguarding is effective, and she praised the school's safeguarding practice: "Safeguarding systems and procedures are fully embedded and understood by all staff."

On leadership and management, she commented: "All leaders constantly check that their actions are making a difference. They are united in believing that their pupils deserve only the very best. This is reflected in the high quality of provision that is offered and the excellent care and support pupils receive."
